Bad Honnef is located in the heart of central Europe in a residential setting. The nearby Rhine River is famous for its castles and it is a prime wine region in Germany and Europe. Bad Honnef is a suburb of Bonn, the former capital of Germany, and is host to many United Nations organizations. It is the city of the famous composer Ludwig von Beethoven and is known for its vibrant urban core. Located very close to Bad Honnef is Cologne, the great cathedral city, and the picturesque Black Forest area of Germany. Two of the great capital cities of Europe -and the world - Paris and Berlin are easy train rides. You are on the doorstep of The Netherlands, Belgium, and France besides the whole of Germany. Even Switzerland, Austria, and northern Italy are in easy reach.

The hospitality and tourism industry is the world's single largest industry. It is an international industry right now and is getting more so each day. Most of the major growth in the hospitality and tourism industry is taking place abroad. As an example, Carlson Hotels Worldwide, the 9th largest hotel company in the world, has 67% of its existing hotels in North America but 70% of its pipeline (hotels being planned and under construction) are located abroad. Having the ability to navigate in an international environment is becoming more important than ever. This program provides true cultural immersion and a professional understanding of this international industry. Completion of this program increases, greatly, your own self-confidence, providing a sense of real accomplishment. You gain the respect of employers from completing such a quality program related to your major and profession.
