The goal of the Computer and Information Sciences Department is to develop computer professionals who are especially competent in software systems design and development. Graduates of this program are articulate, logical thinkers who successfully take their places as professional software developers in government, business, education, and industry. They are systems analysts, business applications programmers, database managers, network administrators, Web designers, technical software designers and developers, or software engineers. They may also pursue graduate/professional education, typically for the M.B.A. degree in management information systems or the M.S. degree in computer science.
