Workshops for Fall 2014

Women's Empowerment Series

While college can be a time of great personal and professional growth, exploration and development, it can also be a time of great stress and adversity. Please join our seven-part Women’s Empowerment Series to learn more about a variety of topics to increase self-awareness and foster a positive sense of self. Part of being successful both at college and in your personal life is taking time to focus on you and your well-being. So take some time for you this semester and join our series!

Sunrise Series

Our Sunrise Series consists of a morning walk to get the blood flowing, the lungs pumping, spirit happy and the mind clear. We focus on using meditation and the beauty of Niagara to increase focus, inner peace and a positive life perspective.

Meditation

Find some time to join us in our Wellness Space to practice meditation. We will meet bi-weekly during the semester to learn and practice meditation. Meditation is an ancient art of increasing awareness while freeing the mind of the things that keep it cluttered.

Yoga

Gentle morning and afternoon yoga will be offered in our Wellness Space throughout the semester. Class size is limited due to our space, however grab a small group of friends and contact Monica Romeo (mromeo@niagara.edu) to schedule. Morning yoga entails the use of specific poses to increase energy and focus. Afternoon yoga utilizes other poses to let go of the challenges of the day.
