Incoming Students

All students who are considering NU should apply for financial aid. NU has streamlined the process to make it as easy as possible for you.

Current Undergraduate Students

Important information about re-applying for financial aid for the 2023-24 academic year in a timely and accurate manner. Under the new federal regulations, financial aid offices can no longer accept signed copies of tax returns. Federal regulations require either submitting the IRS tax transcript or using the IRS data retrieval through FAFSA.

The following forms are required in order to determine your financial aid eligibility for 2023-24. All forms are due April 15, 2023.

Financial aid offer letter notifications are mailed electronically to your NU email address.

Current Graduate Students

Students enrolled in Niagara University’s graduate programs should apply for financial aid for the 2023-2024 academic year (which begins with summer 2023 session) by submitting the 2023-2024 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Niagara University financial aid application. Federal regulations require either submitting the IRS tax transcript or using the IRS data retrieval through FAFSA.

The verification requirements require income to be verified by using the IRS data retrieval process at the time you are completing the FAFSA electronically, OR you will need to request a Federal IRS tax transcript from the IRS and submit it to the Financial Aid Office. Using the IRS data retrieval process at the time of filing your FAFSA will be the easiest and most efficient way to apply for federal aid for 2023-24.
