Scholarships

Various scholarship opportunities are available to tourism and hospitality students. They are based on need, academic achievement, and career aspirations. Some of these include: University sponsored scholarships, Statler Foundation, National Tour Foundation, American Society of Travel Agents, National Restaurant Educational Association, New York State Hospitality and Tourism Association, and the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation.

  • WebstaurantStore 2016 Annual Scholarship

    This scholarship is open to all students who are currently enrolled in a hospitality program, as well as high school seniors, GED students, and non-traditional learning students who plan to enroll in similar programs at the start of the next year.  The winning applicant will receive $1,500 towards the cost of their education.

    Founded in 1984, NEWH is an international non-profit organization, which provides access to the hospitality industry through scholarships, mentorship, and education. NEWH scholarship alumni boast careers in hospitality design, development, hotel management, operations, and culinary, around the world.

  • Travelbird Scholarship

    Current Students who are interested in pursuing a career in Tourism Marketing and Management are encouraged to apply for this €3,000 scholarship to go towards their studies, work placement or travel based on a creative project. The most successful applicant will also have the option to do an internship for 3 to 6 months at the Travelbird HQ in Amsterdam, The Netherlands if they would like to experience working for a successful, international startup in the travel industry.   • American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation (AH&LEF)

    If you are enrolled in a U.S. undergrad or graduate hospitality degree program such as hotel/restaurant management, culinary arts, travel/tourism, or hotel administration, you're probably a candidate for an AH&LEF academic scholarship.
  • National Restaurant Educational Association

    This scholarship is for undergraduate students pursuing a certificate, associate degree, or bachelor degree in a restaurant and/or foodservice-related program.
  • New York State Hospitality and Tourism Association

    The Foundation offers scholarships to full-time and part-time students majoring in a hospitality related field. These include both college students and high school students, who are either working at member properties, or are dependents of employees working at member properties.
  • Tourism Cares

    Tourism Cares was formed by the combining of the National Tourism Foundation, founded by the National Tour Association in 1982, and the Travelers Conservation Foundation, founded in 1999 by the United States Tour Operators Association. Tourism Cares currently administers two scholarship programs.

  • International Spa Association

    The International SPA Association Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of the 2013 Mary Tabacchi Scholarship. The ISPA Foundation believes it is making a difference in providing a healing hand in today's stressful world. It is also building a foundation toward developing professionals who will make the world a healthier place to live. Central to this investment in the future is the Mary Tabacchi Scholarship. With the help of a wealth of donations via the ISPA Foundation, students interested in pursuing a career in spa management will be able to achieve their dreams. It is our hope that students touched by these scholarships will not only provide comfort and care to people who need it but serve as inspirations to others to join the spa profession.

    The ISPA Foundation's Mary Tabacchi Scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student who has completed at least one-year of college and is seeking a spa-related degree with a demonstrated interest in spa management. The recipient will receive $2,500 USD to offset education expenses, as well as registration, airfare and hotel accommodations to attend the ISPA Conference & Expo.

  • 2015 Taste of Buffalo Scholarships

    Current high school seniors residing in one of the eight counties in Western New York who intend to pursue a major in a culinary arts or hospitality curriculum are encouraged to apply for one of five $1,000 scholarships being offered by the Taste of Buffalo in 2015. Students will be evaluated based on academic achievement, experience, enthusiasm, recommendations, community involvement, goals and objectives, and overall interest.

    The eight counties of Western New York are: Erie, Niagara, Orleans, Genesee, Wyoming, Chatauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany.

    To apply students must submit the scholarship application, two letters of reference and a high school transcript.
