Malena Jones, Ph.D., RN, CNE

Dr. Jones is currently the Director of Post Licensure RN Programs and an Assistant Professor at Niagara University’s School of Nursing. She completed a Ph.D. in nursing at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Her previously held positions include Nursing Supervisor in acute care, Nurse Manager in sub-acute care, Charge Nurse in step-down trauma and staff nurse in long-term care.
Dr. Jones has taught in undergraduate and RN completion programs focusing on pharmacology, community health, nursing informatics, and nursing research. Dr. Jones' research areas include horizontal violence and nurse faculty workforce issues.
Dr. Jones received her BSN from Niagara University, MS in Community Health Nursing from D’Youville College, and her PhD in Nursing from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She also remains certified in ACLS, PALS, and in Nursing Education.
Dr. Jones is a member of Gamma Theta chapter of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing and serves on the research committee of the Professional Nurses Association of Western New York.
