Brittany McMahon, '11
Brittany McMahon is the graduate assistant for the Institute for Civic Engagement. She graduated from NU in 2011 with degrees in psychology and sociology with a minor in statistics, and returned in 2012 to pursue a master’s degree in school counseling.
During her undergraduate experience, McMahon volunteered with services in the community such as Heart, Love, and Soul Inc. She then pursued her passion to work with children and interned with the school psychologist at several public schools in the Niagara Falls School District, particularly working in special needs classrooms.
As a graduate assistant, McMahon oversees NYCC’s Education Award Program at Niagara University and is also the research coordinator for the Homeless Initiative in Niagara Falls.
