First-Semester Transfers

We’re thrilled to welcome students who choose to transfer to NU mid-year after starting at another college. First-semester transfers keep their freshman scholarships (unless our transfer awards are higher!), and most earned credits transfer seamlessly, making for a smooth and supportive transition.

Niagara University Theatre, the producing entity of the Department of Theatre and Fine Arts at Niagara University, has been proudly entertaining and educating audiences since 1964. Each season strives for great variety in our productions, ranging from classical to contemporary, musical to physical theatre, traditional to new works. Our productions provide students the opportunities to apply knowledge, skills, and techniques explored in class.

With a focus on learning, community access, and cultural connection, the Castellani Art Museum houses a permanent collection of over 5,000 works—including modern and contemporary art, Niagara Falls-themed pieces, and regional folk art. Niagara University College of Nursing Receives $4.5 Million Grant to Create Nursing Pathways and Bolster WNY Workforce

Niagara University’s College of Nursing received a $4.5 million funding award from the New York State Office of Healthcare Workforce Innovation to further its work to enhance the local nursing workforce and support students aspiring to join the profession. The HELP (Healthcare Education and Life-Skills Program) Nursing Pathways Program, which begins in January, will implement educational interventions, provide scholarships, and mentor learners pursuing a degree in nursing, initiatives that build on the college’s current endeavors to create new opportunities and improve retention and completion for underserved students. It will also leverage the college’s partnerships with local healthcare organizations to create clinical rotations and experiences that will increase students’ awareness of the opportunities available.

Niagara University is proud to announce a historic and transformative gift that will elevate the experience and success of its pre-law students. The landmark contribution of $5 million by the family of alumnus George Wiegers, ’58—the largest to an undergraduate pre-law program in the region—will provide exceptional opportunities to aspiring legal professionals through the establishment of an on-campus moot courtroom and pre-law library, an endowed directorship, and expanded resources.
