Biography
Amy Crockford joined the ASL/Deaf Studies Department in 2018. She received her Master of Education in Student Affairs Administration from the University at Buffalo. She also attended Rochester Institute of Technology for her undergraduate work. In addition to teaching college students, she is a Deaf interpreter. Amy is author of the popular children’s book My Happy Place, about her experience growing up as a Deaf child.
Why I Sign
It is my passion to teach ASL and to educate others on the value of Deaf culture. I sign to show others that there is more than one way to communicate.
