Ray Kist Golf Tournament

Event Details

Date: September 30, 2024
Location: Niagara Falls Country Club

The Niagara University Ray Kist Memorial Golf Classic, benefiting Niagara’s student-athletes, will be held on Monday, September 30th at the Niagara Falls Country Club in Lewiston, N.Y.

The event honors the late Ray Kist, who was the head athletic trainer for the Niagara University Purple Eagles for 16 years. Ray brought enthusiasm, energy and expertise to his profession, while caring for and treating student-athletes for all athletic teams.

Inducted into the Niagara Athletics Hall of Fame in 1993, he battled ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) with an upbeat attitude, the same way he would counsel a student. The illness claimed his life at the age of 46 on January 31, 1995. With this tournament, Niagara University honors Ray, and the others like him, that serve the university and its student-athletes from behind the scenes.

All funds raised from the event will directly support Niagara University student-athletes.
