Biography
Dr. Theresa Puckett has been an RN for 23 years and has worked in various medical-surgical areas: ICU, NICU, PICU, Behavioral/Mental health nursing of children and adults, detox, and home care. She was the director of nursing at a 52-bed private psychiatric hospital. Dr. Puckett has taught at the college level for the past 20 years. Over the span of her teaching career she has taught every course across the nursing curriculum. She has vast experience as a course coordinator, directed a graduate program, and was the dean of an associate’s degree nursing program. Other highlights of her career include working as a national speaker with PESI Healthcare, acting as an EHR consultant, serving as a CCNE accreditation visitor, and writing test items for ATI, NCLEX, and PCNB.

Dr. Theresa Puckett currently teaches Community Nursing lecture and clinical. She also teaches clinical for Med-Surg and Pediatrics.
