Why NU:
NU felt like home right from my first visit. I knew in coming here I would have opportunities to grow as a student and a person, between my academics and outside activities. I honestly have grown more than I ever anticipated. Every person I met made me feel welcome and I could see traits of my own in everyone I talked to. I felt how close the community was here and knew I wanted to be part of that. Niagara was truly my best fit.

Why NU:
I chose NU because of the field experience placement. In the College of Education, students are required to go into a classroom and complete 20 credited hours of field experience right from the first semester of freshman year. Not only does it give us the experience for post graduation, but it also lets us get an idea of what grade level we are most seen fit teaching. I’ve made a ton of friends on campus and couldn’t be happier anywhere else!

Why NU:
When touring schools I was extremely interested in their science programs. Once I visited NU, I immediately loved the Golisano Center for Integrated Sciences. It was extremely important to me that I would be able to get one on one time with my professors while taking such difficult courses. With a small and well connected building where professors offered office hours weekly I knew I could thrive as a chemistry major here at NU. Along with build connections with my professors. The most important part was that I would be able to participate in undergraduate research that could aid in my decision of a career after graduation.

Why NU:
I chose NU for the community and experiences. Every professor knows who you are and wants to see each student succeed. Being such a small school, professors and staff know who each student is and is able to personally help that student through classes. Each professor in the College of Hospitality Sport and Tourism Management has industry experience which provides students with the information they need to do well in the work force. The College of Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism provides students with many opportunities to work in the industry. I have been able to work three internships because of the connections Niagara University has with the hospitality and sport industry. This has provided me with the skills I need to succeed after graduation. The relationship students have with professors and the experiences a student in the College of Hospitality are provided with are some the biggest reasons why I felt that Niagara University was a great fit for me.

IN THEIR WORDS

My name is Madi Feng, and I’m a senior from Tonawanda High School.  A few weeks ago, the Associate Director of Admissions (Julie Candella) came to visit my school for a pizza party and chat session with students interested in Niagara University.  During that session, I was talking with my fellow classmates about how NU has been approaching us.  We collectively agreed that NU has gone above and beyond to connect with us.  During the session, for example, we were so engrossed in our conversation with Julie that we were caught off guard by the bell!  The NU admissions team feels very accessible to us students and they have really helped me with my college search.  NU admissions have really made an impact on me and my classmates.
