Writing Center
At Niagara University’s Writing Center, you’ll find dedicated staff and student tutors who love to talk about writing.
- Professional and peer tutors are available to assist students in-person or online via synchronous or asynchronous tutoring sessions from the third week of each semester until exams begin.
- Tutors are trained to help with any aspect of the writing process, from understanding the assignment requirements to planning, organizing, documenting, and revising drafts. Tutors do not correct or proofread papers for students.
- Sessions are 30 minutes and ASC even offers later evening and weekend hours online to accommodate students’ busy schedules!
- Students may visit the Writing Center on a drop-in basis if there are no scheduled appointments at the time. Students are encouraged to make an appointment, however, and this can be done through myNU.
- Students interested in applying to be a Writing Center tutor can contact Jason Pratt
